This very rare, one of a kind FABERGE egg pendant was made in Saint Petersburg between 1899 and 1904.
The egg is carved from a dark green Siberian nephrite jade. It is embellished with gold leaves in Art Nouveau taste. The leaves are set with small rose cut diamonds.
The egg is marked with 56 zolotnik old Russian gold standard (14K), initials ‘ЯЛ’ for St. Petersburg assay master Yakov Liapunov (1899-1904), and initials ‘AT’ for Faberge’s workmaster Alfred Thielemann.
Length without suspension ring is 17 mm (5/8 in.)
