This vintage Russian 14K gold ring features a very rare 2.05 carat cushion cut Alexandrite from the Ural Mountains. Renowned for its remarkable color-change phenomenon, the gemstone shifts from a deep green in daylight to soft purplish-pink hues under incandescent light. The color change is strong (70–80%) and the quality of color change is very good to good.
The ring is accompanied by an American Gemological Laboratories (AGL) Prestige Gemstone Report No. 1151817.
Russian Alexandrites are among the rarest of gemstones, and examples weighing over two carats are particularly exceptional, as the vast majority of known stones are under one carat.
The ring is marked with Soviet era assay mark for 585 gold and maker’s mark.
Ring size 6.75 (17 mm) resizable
