Designed as a flower head and crafted in silver, this is a rare early 19th century piece, circa 1820s-1830s.
Originally, it was a brooch / pendant. The pin was later removed and a silver chain with a small turquoise bead was added.
The pendant features an excellent Persian turquoise cabochon measuring 14 x 9.4 x 4.7 mm. The turquoise is surrounded by a row of rose cut diamonds. The petals are embellished with chunky old mine cut diamonds.
Estimated total diamond weight is 3 carats.
The flower measures 29 x 23 mm (1 1/8 x 7/8 in.)
Length of the chain is 46 cm (18 in.)
