This 18K gold ring from the early 1900s with an openwork undergallery is set with five well-matched cushion cut sapphires of a midnight blue color. The sapphires are accented by eight small single cut diamonds.
Estimated weight of the sapphires: 0.87 ct, 0.75 ct, 0.77 ct, 0.41 ct and 0.40 ct. Total sapphire weight is approximately 3.20 ct.
The single cut diamonds are a later replacement. Originally, antique rings of this type with colored stones were set with rose cut diamonds as accents.
