circa 1850
This splendid, one of a kind, early Victorian era engagement ring is finely crafted in solid 18K yellow gold and densely set with charming antique cut diamonds. The ring is centered with two pear cut diamonds (approximately 0.86 ct and 0.79 ct) resembling a pair of hearts. Due to the way those diamonds are cut, they appear bigger than they actually are, more like 1+ carat stones. The principal diamonds measure 7.2 x 5.5 and 7.6 x 5.8 mm.
The center stones are surrounded by chunky old cushion cut diamonds. The diamonds are H-I color (bright white), VS2-SI2 clarity.
Estimated total diamond weight is 3.25 carats.
The diamond top measures 19 x 11 mm (12/16 x 7/16 in.)
Ring size 7.25 (18 mm) sizable
