This Art Deco era vintage Russian 14K gold and silver ring was made in Moscow in the 1930s. The ring features a 2.07 ct octagonal shape Russian Alexandrite from the Ural Mountains. The center stone is flanked by openwork shoulderes accented with old rose cut diamonds. The diamonds are set in silver over gold.
The ring is marked with 583 gold standard with Moscow assay symbol and 875 silver standard.
The Alexandrite measures 6.92 x 6.51 x 5.49 mm.
The ring is accompanied by the American Gemological Laboratories prestige gemstone report No. 1102043. The report states that the 2.07 ct Alexandrite has a strong color change of 70 to 80%, and the quality of color change from bluish green to purple is Very Good.
