This exceptional quality Victorian era articulated snake bracelet / necklace is formed of sections, each engraved to imitate snake scales. The top is covered with a superb deep red guilloche enamel and embellished with pearls.
The finely modeled head of the snake features a large baroque pearl (approximately 13 mm long) surrounded by old mine cut diamonds. The eyes are set with cabochon rubies.
Marked with French eagle head assay mark for 18K gold (750 gold standard).
