Vintage Art Deco Diamond and Sapphire Earrings

Portuguese, circa 1920s

A pair of finely crafted disc-shaped platinum-topped 19K gold earrings.

Each earring is centered with a sparkling old European cut diamond in a milgrain setting.

The background is designed with three vertical rows of channel-set calibre-cut blue sapphires and four rows of bright white single and rose cut diamonds.

Estimated total diamond weight for both earrings is 1.25 ct (G-H color, VS2-SI1 clarity).

The earrings are marked with pre-1938 Portuguese 2nd gold standard (800 gold – slightly over 19 K) assay stamp for the city of Porto (Oporto) and maker’s mark.
