A textured gold egg set with a faceted ruby. Made in St. Petersburg between 1899 and 1904. Marked with 56 zolotnik gold standard with initials ‘Я Л’ of assay master Yakov Liapunov and maker’s initials. Height without suspension ring – 14 mm (9/16 in.)
