This unusual antique Russian silver mounted cat’s eye egg pendant was made in the 1890s. The egg consists of two carved chrysoberyls with bold cat’s eye effect (chatoyancy) separated with a faceted rock crystal band.

Marked on the silver suspension ring with maker’s initials and assay marks.
