This remarkable vintage French Art Deco brooch / pin features an oval cabochon cut azurite malachite set in an elaborate, slightly asymmetrical 18K gold bezel. The bezel is embellished with bright white old cut diamonds (F-G color, SI clarity) and green, red, and black enamels.
The center stone measures 35 x 25 mm (1 3/8 x 1 in.)
Estimated total diamond weight is 1.20 ct.
Overall size of the brooch 35 x 36 mm (1 3/8 x 1 7/16 in.)
Marked on frame and pin with French eagle head assay mark and maker’s mark.
