An Excellent Antique Russian Egg Pendant

Made in St. Petersburg between 1904 and 1908 by jeweler of the Imperial Court and competitor of Faberge – Frederic Koehly (Friedrich Koehli).

Koehli’s jewelry is easily recognizable by the bold three dimensional designs. His jewelry is rare, especially egg pendants.

A carved rhodonite egg is applied with gold interlaced triangular swags accented by rose cut diamonds.

The pendant is marked on the suspension ring with 56 zolotnik old Russian gold standard (14K)

with initials ‘A P’ for St Petersburg assay master Alexander Romanov and maker’s initials ‘ F * K ‘.
