A Russian Imperial presentation badge 1913,
given to those who congratulated in person Their Majesties on the occasion of the 300th anniversary of the House of Romanovs’ reign.
A crowned silver shield with the Romanov griffin surrounded by eight lion’s heads is laid on a gilded silver laurel and oak wreath. Dates 1613-1913 on the ribbon below the shield.
Height 1 3/4 in. (4,5 cm). Excellent condition.
Marked with 84 zolotniks standard (875 silver), St Petersburg assay office, master’s initials ‘ КП ‘ for Konstantin Prokofiev who worked for the firm of Kortmann.
