An Antique Cat’s Eye Chrysoberyl and Diamond Gold Ring

circa 1880

The ring is centered with a cabochon cut chrysoberyl with a bold cat’s eye effect – chatoyance, framed by 10 old cut diamonds (approximately 0.6 cttw)

The cat’s eye chrysoberyl is 6.3 x 5.4 x 4.7 mm – approximately 1.61 ct.

The shoulders of the ring are hand carved with double rows of S-shaped scrolls.
