The front of this unusual antique 18K gold slide locket pendant features a guilloche enamel sea view accented by a ruby. The surface covered with silverish blue enamel, is skillfully engraved to imitate sea waves and a cloudy sky. The wave pattern changes depending on the perspective.

The interior of the pendant is fitted with a picture frame. The back cover is engraved with a monogram and date 19.8.1905  within a ribbon tied laurel wreath.

The sea view enamel miniature is set in a plain platinum bezel.
