This very rare antique Russian ring was made in Moscow in the 1860s.
The ring is crafted in 14K yellow gold and embellished with glossy black enamel. It is centered with a chunky 2.24 ct old cushion cut diamond (K color, VS2 clarity). The diamond is well cut and proportioned for an old mine cut stone. The high pyramide-shaped crown gives this antique diamond its unique appearance. The way it is cut and the border of small diamonds make the center stone visually bigger (more like 3 ct+).
The diamond appears much whiter than K color due to its strong blue fluorescence.
Estimated total diamond weight is 2.50 carats.
Marked with 56 zolotnik old Russian gold standard and Moscow assay mark.
The ring is sold together with the PGSL diamond report 46100017.
Ring size 9.5 (20 mm)
