1870s – 1880s
This large 14K yellow gold pendant is designed as a stylized pansy. The leaves are set with five oval amethysts of excellent pinkish purple color. The textured and engraved gold center is accented with a small half pearl.
Marked on the back with with Austro-Hungarian fox head assay mark and “H” for the city of Bergen.
Total length with bail is 53 mm (2 in.).
Width is 36 mm (1 3/8 in.)
