circa 1750
An extremely rare and unusual silver badge from the 1700s in the shape of the Russian Imperial crown, likely a badge of a courtier.
The silver crown is set with old mine cut red spinel and old rose cut diamonds.
The crown was attached to a fabric or leather with two wire attachments on the back (one is broken).
The crown could be fashioned into a ring, a brooch or a pendant.
