circa 1800
This unique pair of long gold and pearl earrings, dating to the Napoleonic era, features two finely modeled gold birds descending over chased leaves, each carrying a seed pearl in its beak. Suspended below are elegant floral pendants designed in the refined taste of the late 1790s to early 1800s.
Crafted in high karat gold, the earrings were tested by XRF analyzer and found to range between 16.8 and 18 karats. A rare and charming example of early 19th-century jewelry, they beautifully capture the grace and naturalism of the period.
