A Victorian Era Jewelled Gold Locket Necklace
made in Moscow in 1871 by Adler & Co.
This rare dated Russian 14K gold necklace with a detachable locket is embellished with glossy black enamel, two half pearls, two emeralds, and rose cut diamonds.
The necklace is marked with 56 zolotnik gold standard, date ‘1871’, maker’s initials ‘ WA’ (inside the locket) and ‘ADLER’ (on the clasp).

The matte yellow gold cover of the locket is applied with a stylized gold chain with five round links of polished gold and six links embellished with rose cut diamonds.
A prong-set emerald is hanging on the chain.
The locket is set with two miniature picture frames.
