This ancient Roman solid 23.33 Kt gold ring with broad, carved shoulders features a nicolo (onyx) intaglio engraved with Imperial eagle holding a victory wreath.
The intaglio measures 10 x 8 mm (3/8 x 5/16 in.)
Rings with openwork shoulders were fashionable in the 200s AD.

Current ring size is 6 – 6.5 (19 x 16 mm). The ring can be resized.
Condition: the intaglio is chipped in the lower part and has a hairline crack, there are some hardened earth deposits on one edge of the bezel which can be removed if desired.
