RARE original photograph, of czar Nicholas II and empress Alexandra Feodorovna visiting the church in Borki on August 20, 1898. The church was built on the site of the wreck of the czar’s train at the railway station of Borki near Kharkov (Ukraine) in 1888.
Photograph – 8 x 6 1/4 in. (15,9 x 21 cm). Photo mat – 18 1/2 x 15 1/2 in. The photograph is in excellent condition. The photo mat is with some minor stains and scratches.

The Imperial couple, followed by members of the Suite, is about to enter the church. Cars of Imperial train are visible in the upper part of the photograph.
