Unusual and probably unique cabinet porcelain plate painted in Art Nouveau taste with a portrait of Grand Duchess Maria Nikolaevna (daughter of czar Nicholas II), set in a wooden frame.

Diameter of the plate 6 1/4 in. (15,7 cm).

The frame – 13 x 13 in. (33,2 x 33,2 cm)

Inscribed on the back in Russian “H.I.H. G.D. (Her Imperial Highness Grand Duchess) Maria Nikolaevna 1914”.

A repaired (overpainted) area at 6 o’clock on rim.
