The brooch was made by Karl Bock, a jeweler of the Russian Imperial Court.
The 14K gold openwork brooch is set with six natural rubies and fifteen old European and old cushion cut diamonds.
The center ruby is 5.6 x 5.5 x 3.85 mm, approximately 1.04 ct.
Estimated total diamond weight is 0.75 ct.
The pin is marked with St. Petersburg assay mark and Cyrillic initials ‘КБ’ for Karl Bock.
The pin guard is marked with 56 zolotnik gold standard (14K), St Petersburg assay mark, and maker’s initials.
