These 19th century earrings are crafted in silver and 14K gold and centered with two emerald cut emeralds measuring 8 x 7.68 x 5.70 mm and 8.66 x 7.42 x 5.30 mm, approximately 2.43 ct and 2.36 ct. The emeralds are framed by old rose cut diamonds set in closed back settings and surmounted by two old cushion cut diamonds (approximately 0.15 ct and 0.14 ct). Estimated total diamond weight is 0.70 ct.
The closures of the earrings were replaced in the early 1900s. They are marked with Austro-Hungarian empire assay mark in the shape of a fox head for the 4th gold standard and with ‘A’ for Vienna.
