made in Vienna, Austria in the 1950s.
The brooch is finely modelled as a lily of the valley. The flower heads are superbly carved from frosted rock crystal and embellished with diamonds. The green leaf is naturalistically carved from a single piece of nephrite jade. The white 18K gold stems are tied with a diamond set ribbon.
This is one of the nicest Lily of the Valley brooches of this type we’ve ever seen.
Marked with an elephant head assay mark for Austrian 3rd gold standard (18K), “W’ for Vienna, and maker’s initials ‘EB’.
Length 96 mm (3 3/4 in.)
