Made in Vienna, Austria in the 1950s.
This vintage brooch is finely modeled as a small lily of the valley. The flower heads are superbly carved from frosted rock crystal and embellished with diamonds. The green leaf is naturalistically carved from a single piece of nephrite jade and mounted in yellow 14K gold.
Marked with a horse head assay mark for Austrian 4th gold standard (14K), ‘W’ for Vienna, 585 gold, and maker’s mark.
Length is 48 mm (1 15/16 in.)
