An elegant Rococo openwork necklace crafted entirely in silver and originally designed to be worn with a ribbon choker. The current gold chain was added at a later date. The necklace is adorned with early rose cut diamonds in naturally irregular forms – gems that, in the 18th century, were still regarded as rare, exotic, and exceptionally valuable.
Total length of the silver pendant is 70 mm (2 3/4 in.)
