This antique Russian 14K gold ring was made in Moscow between 1908 and 1917. The ring features a 1.40 ct cushion cut demantoid from the Ural Mountains.
The demantoid measures 6.89 x 6.87 x 3.2 mm.
Russian demantoids over 1 carat are rare. The stone has some fine “horsetail” inclusions which are typical for demantoids of the Ural Mountains origin.
