The chain was hand made in Moscow between 1908 and 1917.

Russian Imperial era gold chains of this caliber are rarely appear on the market. Very few have survived confiscations of gold by the Soviets during the revolution and civil war. Most were melted down in the 1920s.

Marked with 56 zolotniks standard (14K – 583)/Moscow assay office, and workmaster’s initials ‘HO’.
