An antique finely carved large shell cameo of a Belle Epoque lady personified as a Bacchante (a female follower of Bacchus, the Roman god of winemaking and fertility) is set in rose and yellow gold frame and mounted as a brooch. The pin is marked with 56 zolotnik old Russian gold standard and 1908-1917 St.Petersburg assay mark.
