This Edwardian era finely crafted fancy cluster ring features an oval cabochon cut natural untreated ruby (measuring 9.2 x 7.4 x 4.38 mm, approximately 3.22 ct) of Burmese origin. The center stone is framed by ten bright white and sparkling old European cut diamonds which, in turn, are outlined with a curvaceous border of small calibre-cut rubies.
Approximate combined weight of the diamonds is 1.60 ct. All gemstones are set in platinum over 18K gold.
The ring is marked with an owl shape French import mark.
The ruby and diamond cluster measures 20 x 18 mm (3/4 x 11/16 in.)
