A Vintage Solitaire Demantoid Ring

A rose gold ring is set with an exceptional antique cushion cut Russian Uralian demantoid garnet.

The demantoid has a beautiful emerald green color and is filled with fire.

Demantoids over 1 carat of this quality are extremely rare.

The demantoid is 7.5 x 6.6 x 4.3 mm.

There is a bold “horsetail” in the center of the stone.

The Russian Uralian demantoids have specific inclusions which look like golden brown threads and are known as “horsetail”.
The presence of such inclusions, confirms the origin of demantoids, and increases the value of stones.
