A pair of Russian antique porcelain floral cabinet plates from the reign of Nicholas I
made at the Imperial Porcelain Factory in St. Petersburg around 1840, elaborately decorated with gilded foliage on four-color ground, centers painted with sprays of flowers.
Diameter 9 1/4 in. (23,3 cm)
Condition: one plate has an invisibly repaired small rim chip, some very minor rubbing to four small gilded garlands around the flowers, otherwise excellent.
