A Russian Orthodox gold and enamel pectoral cross pendant of traditional shape with hand engraved decorations.
14K rose gold, sky blue and white opaque enamels, translucent red guilloche enamel.
The cross was made between 1882 and 1899 by a prominent St. Petersburg jeweler Rudolf Weide,
who specialized in gold and enamel crosses.
Engraved inscription on the back reads “SAVE AND PROTECT”.
Marked with 56 zolotnik old Russian gold standard and maker’s initials ‘PB’.
