The ring is crafted in platinum by CHAUMET, a high-end Paris jewelry house. The ring features a natural unheated cushion cut 6.36 ct sapphire of a royal blue color. The sapphire is surrounded by high quality, bright white tapered baguette cut and round brilliant cut diamonds (E-F color, VVS1-VS1 clarity), set in a ballerina style setting.
The shank is signed ‘CHAUMET Paris’, engraved ‘Pl 950’ (platinum), stamped with French export platinum mark, maker’s mark, and inventory number.
Throughout its 240 year old history, CHAUMET produced the finest quality handmade jewels. The house of CHAUMET was founded in 1780. Chaumet became the official jeweler of Napoleon in 1802. After opening its London branch in the mid 19th century, the firm immediately became popular among British aristocracy and received a royal warrant from Queen Victoria.
